INDIAN PASSPORT

An Indian Passport can be renewed anytime between one year before and six months after the actual date of expiry. Final expiry is indicated on the passport by the letter "F" or the word "Final" mentioned after the date of expiry on the passport.

The forms for renewal of Indian passports and for the issue of new passport booklets are different hence appropriate forms are required to be filled in. The requirement of photographs is as follows: four recent passport size photographs for a new passport. The photograph pasted on the application form must not be signed across.
